Family Time

Jayce is such a cutie! I love this picture of Kylah and Braxton!
Neighbor Linda bought the kids treats...
The kids and Mom going hunting for caterpillars.
Kylah is in a tractor tire rim.
We had a great weekend! It went by way too fast of course, but that's life. Kaitlin spent the weekend with her friends for the most part. She has a friend moving in a week so they needed to get in some 'girl time' one last time. Then she stayed at another friend's house last night. Josh, Kylah, Carter and I went to Josh's dad's today to get the Combine parked in the shop for the winter. Josh sure had a great time with that machine this summer. :)
The kids and I went on the four wheeler on a caterpillar hunt...We now have 15-yep 15 caterpillars living in our home. I didn't think we would find that many...but...we did, so we had to bring them ALL home. Kylah found a bunch in her Gramps's shop so it was a lot of fun for everyone.
Tonight we went to the China House with Josh's grandma Noni and John. Of course we overate but had great conversations and laughter. It was a good time!
I hope you all had a great weekend~ It is supposed to get pretty cold here tonight so I am off to shut some windows. Good Night!
(The reason there aren't any pictures of Kaitlin is because she wasn't with us this weekend.)

Thursday

Somehow it is already Thursday. Wow! My week has flown by. We got home Monday night from our trip to North Dakota and I have been busy ever since. I got a bunch of stuff cleaned and moved into a more fashionable order around the house. Today I shampooed all of our upstairs carpets and now have the windows open to freshen up the place. It has been a chilly week so I am trying to get a lot of stuff done inside before this weekend. On Saturday it is supposed to be 80 degrees so I want to mow and get the garden picked for the most part. I have some acorn squash and tomatoes left out there as well as our great pumpkin patch! Josh and the kids love, love, LOVE growing them each summer. I think we will have some "perfect" ones to carve this year, so it should be a lot of fun!

Well, I am off to go get Carter from preschool and some other kids. Have a great afternoon! Oh ya, here are five things I am thankful for since it is THANKFUL THURSDAY!

1. The health of my family right now.
2. The time we got to spend with our family in North Dakota.
3. Our church family.
4. My neighbor Linda. She helps us out so much at times!
5. Our safe trip home from Chris and Kortney's.

Enjoy your evening!!

North Dakota Trip

Our trip to North Dakota. We had a great time!
First time being in North Dakota.Swimming in the pool.
The kids with a giraffe at the zoo.
Our lion named Carter.
Baby Temperance.
The gang.
At the zoo.
At the Splash Park.
Water fun.
The youngest and oldest grand daughters on Josh's side of the family.
Temperance and Kaitlin.

We went to North Dakota on Friday to visit Josh's brother Chris and his family. It is a 9 hour drive straight through. The traveling to and from there was nice, even though it takes awhile. I got a lot of reading done and managed to start crocheting two blankets while on the road.
We got to see Chris, his wife Kortney, and their children Talon and Temperance. Temperance is not quite two months old so we wanted to see her before she got any bigger. We had a great time visiting and also took the kids to the zoo while we were there. Here are some pictures of our trip.

Painting

We have been painting our basement lately. It was in need of a new fresh coat of paint. The girls each have one lime green wall in their rooms and the bathroom and one little room is just white. I am planning on painting the family room area white with a beige-ish color.

It is raining here right now and I love it! It smells so fresh. You can really tell that Fall is just around the corner. The leaves have that tint to them and the gardens are turning yellow.

I went to the eye doctor on Thursday in Chadron. He said I am 100% completely healed. I will stay on my eye drops until my appointment in Rapid on the 29th when they remove the"band-aid" contact. I feel so much better and am so pleased with the results.

What else....

Oh ya, the kids got their pictures taken for school this past week. We of course went to see Jess at Pro Shots. I think Carter would stay all night and get his picture taken if I let him. He really likes it and feels special.

Well, I better get back to painting. I am off to prime a couple of walls that need it. (Boring!)

Have a great weekend!!

Friday??!!

I cannot believe it's Friday already!! It has been a week since my surgery and I am feeling wonderful! I had poor vision until yesterday morning and now it is a lot better. I have plenty of drops I have to take but things are moving along as they should. I saw the eye doctor in Chadron on Tuesday and he said it's healing like it's supposed to.

Josh and I have been busy with things around the house lately. Today's project was to sand and stain the deck. Then the belt sander broke so that set us back a bit. (We always have something go wrong it seems when we set out to do a project.)

We have a three day weekend and I am excited for it. We are going fishing with my brother Chuck and our nephew Mitch on Sunday at Box Butte. The kids are going to be staying part of the weekend with Nick and Mary. Mary's son's boys will be here so they are planning on going to the drive-in double feature in Alliance, munch on Pizza Hut pizza, and enjoy Transformers 2 and G.I. Joe.

Hope you all have a safe and nice holiday weekend!
